Mark and his wife gave us a warm, friendly welcome. Our bedroom was spacious and immaculately clean, and the surroundings were amazing. There's even a scenic steam railway station just 50 metres away. We were only there for one night, but we'd definitely stay again. Recommend it 100%.

We had a wonderful four-night stay in the self-catering apartment. Mark & Desi welcomed us warmly, and the apartment was spotless and perfect, with lots of lovely little touches. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back next time we're in the area. Thank you.

We love Moorlands and will be back soon! The views are amazing and seem to go on forever, and it's a lovely location. Desi and Mark are the best hosts, and the breakfasts are delicious too. We always come back.

The owners take great care of the house, grounds and guests. There's beautiful ground with mature trees, tucked away in the countryside, yet close to a station on a restored railway. We enjoyed our stay and honestly couldn't find anything to fault. A top-notch guest house/B&B.

I've stayed here twice now, most recently 16-19 Dec., and the welcome was just as warm and friendly as last time. The team worked hard to make the stay go well. My room was warm and clean, and I slept really well throughout. They've added more meal options, including a superb Sunday roast/lunch, and it represents excellent value for money. There are still little things to work on, like dated wallpaper, older furniture and the surroundings. These things take time, and improvements have clearly been made. The team knows what's still on the list. I really like this hotel. It's on the edge of Dartmoor, a good spot for peace and quiet or hiking and rambling, and not far from Plymouth.
