Stoke House Bed and Breakfast

Pepper got plenty of cuddles and a sausage with breakfast every morning, and she’s never been so spoiled. Robert and Nicki were lovely and did all they could to make our three-night stay enjoyable. We were just outside Barnstaple, with woodland walks and dog-friendly coastline only a few minutes away. Pepper and I hope to come back next year, or sooner. Lisa n Pepper

We slept really well, and the full English Rob cooked was delicious. Breakfast also included fresh orange juice, toast, cereal, tea and coffee. Rob and Nicki were friendly hosts, and Nicki helped us work out places to visit. We were sorry to leave and would stay again if we’re in the area. Nicki showed us around when we arrived. The room was lovely, with a large comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom with a shower, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. There was also a sitting area with a TV and sofa bed, plus a good selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, and still and sparkling water. A door opened onto a table and chairs overlooking the countryside.

It’s a very quiet, rather isolated spot, with lovely countryside views from the windows. Robert and Nicki are attentive, caring owners who make you feel genuinely welcome in their home. The room was nice and tidy, and breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was generous and tasty on both mornings, with yoghurt, cereal, toast and jam or marmalade, orange juice, and a full English. Tea and coffee too, just what we needed. The room was spotless and serviced daily, with gorgeous views. There was loads of storage, including cupboard and drawer space, hanging room, and room for our things in the bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities came with fresh milk each day, and complimentary still and sparkling water and good biscuits. It was an easy, relaxing stay with lovely hosts. The village is lovely too, and the roads make it easy to get to Barnstaple, South Molton and Lynton/Lynmouth. Thanks for a lovely stay, Robert and Nicki!
