I only wanted to enjoy a beer and socialise, not do a free stock take. When I asked about gluten-free beer, the barstaff didn’t know and sent me to a touchscreen to scroll through the whole stock myself. The writing was too small to read, and after getting lost in the first few confusing menu screens I gave up. Don’t let Wetherspoons make you think they’re inclusive. They don’t care.

It was my 18th, and the night was dampened by the food taking over an hour to arrive. When we asked, the waitress kept saying things like, “Are you sure it didn’t come?” Yes, I’m sure I hadn’t eaten and forgotten the meal I ordered an hour earlier. Train the staff to get food out on time and not argue with customers who ask about it. I won’t be coming back.

Visited 11/02/2026. I ordered small fish and chips with a dark fruit after seeing the app’s afternoon special at £7.08. The app was down, so I ordered at the bar and was told it would cost £8.22. It isn’t a huge difference, but it felt like false advertising and poor customer service.

Good service, good food, and plenty of coffee at just £1-81 each with free refills. It’s a shame this fine pub is in such a run-down place. Most of the shops nearby were empty or in poor shape.

The food’s always good, and it’s cheap and cheerful. The sticky Korean fried chicken with coconut rice is a real hit.
