Martin at the front desk made a thoughtful gesture during check-in. My wife and I were fasting for Ramadan and asked when breakfast was served. I jokingly asked if it could be arranged earlier, expecting a no. When I explained we wouldn’t eat until sunrise, around 4am, he offered to have the night staff bring breakfast to our room then. It was unexpected and made a real difference. We were at Audleys Wood Hotel for our company’s annual awards ceremony, and the whole visit felt memorable from the moment we arrived. During the evening event, the staff were friendly, attentive and smiling, which gave the ceremony a warm atmosphere. The hotel is beautiful, and its connection to Jane Austen gives it a distinctive charm. I enjoyed a peaceful morning walk around the impressive grounds before we left. The setting, service and care made this a fantastic stay, and I’d definitely recommend Audleys Wood Hotel.

We had breakfast brought to our room, and it was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were polite and friendly throughout, and we had a great stay. Thank you all, we’ll definitely be back. Our room was clean and nicely laid out, with comfortable beds, plenty of water in the fridge, fresh milk, and a good choice of hot drinks. The Noble isle toiletries were lovely too. We got a warm welcome, and the woman at reception was so kind and helpful. Sorry I didn’t catch your name. It was proper old-fashioned customer service, the kind you don’t see much these days.

The food was really good, the service exceptional, and the hotel lovely and clean. We were upgraded to a superior room, which was a nice touch. We booked a Secret Escapes package for £188 for one night. It included breakfast, which is normally £24 per person, and £80 in dinner credit, or £40 each, so it worked out as good value. One thing to check before booking deals like this: the dinner menu had options for two courses at one price and three courses at £38. Since we each only had two dishes, we spent less than our £40 allowance per person and could technically have saved £20. Worth looking into the details first.

Darren deserves a special mention. He looked after us at the evening meal and again at breakfast, and gave five-star service. The staff were great and went out of their way to meet everyone’s needs. We were there for a birthday party and hired a room for our meal. It was presented and laid out really well. A very well-rounded stay.
