Elmfield House B&B

The bedroom has a lovely view over a horse field and the surrounding countryside. Tucked away from the main road and deep in the countryside, it feels like a real home from home and makes for restful sleep. The friendly hosts have thought of everything. Everything was beautifully clean, and the open-plan living area has sofas at one end, a dining table at the other, and a kitchen to the side. It was well supplied with a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, plenty of dishes and glasses, and enough pans and oven cookware. There were also plenty of toilet rolls in the bathroom, which is great since some places leave only one.

The only little downside, completely beyond their control, was the lack of local taxis. Unless you want to pay a massive charge for one to come out to you, there aren't any around. Even so, this was by far our best stay in ages, and we'll be back as soon as we can. From the time we booked, Kirsty was so helpful, checking what we needed, arranging the rooms as requested and leaving us a little snack for arrival. The super king-sized bed may be the most comfortable we've ever slept in, and we woke refreshed for our day trips. Thanks, Kirsty and family.

Kirsty was wonderful with the kids, with board games available, and breakfast was fantastic. She took us in at the last minute because of storm arwen, welcomed us with tea and cake, and made the beautiful B&B feel like home. Absolutely wonderful. We'll return next time we're travelling that way. Thank you!! X

We had a great New Year's getaway. The owners were so nice and friendly, and even brought down toys for my three-year-old son. The lodge was spacious, with one bedroom and a big kitchen and lounge. The toilets were all good, and the shower was okay. They also have sheep on site that are happy to be petted.
