The eggs with salmon were delicious, honestly some of the best I’ve eaten. We had a lovely setting too, with the historic building and its period decor. It was my first visit, but I’ll definitely be back. Even with the lunch rush, our food and drinks arrived quickly, and the young guy at the entrance gave us a warm, smiling welcome while managing the busy service really well.

Phoebe made me the most amazing Long Island iced tea I’ve ever had. Her customer service was brilliant too. I hope she’s working next time I visit so I can have the same experience.

We found a table despite the place being busy, which was lucky since weekend bookings weren’t available and it was walk-in only. There’s a lovely atmosphere, just right for catching up with friends over good food. Ordering by QR code at the table was easy, though staff also brought menus and you can see the menu online. My bacon burger was juicy and delicious, and I had sweet potato fries, squid calamari and a lovely non-alcoholic Pina Colada. The food, drinks and service were all great. I’d definitely come back.

This year’s Christmas night out with our group of 15 was even better than the excellent one we had a couple of years ago. The pork belly main and Toffe Apple Choux dessert were especially good, and everything from the Christmas menu was fantastic. The waiters were friendly, attentive and efficient. It was a great evening at very reasonable prices, and we’ll definitely return.
