Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel (ex Park Inn by Radisson Bedford)

We had breakfast looking out over the river, and the restaurant was bright, clean and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely, and the bar area has plenty of seats and lots of light too. The Mercure is only a minute's walk from town, with everything close by, and there's plenty of parking. Our room and bathroom were both really big and newly decorated. The bed was very comfy, the bedding was crisp, and the room stayed nice and warm. We stayed one night and will definitely come back. Would recommend.

Getting around Bedford is easy from this hotel, whether you're in town for work near the business districts or out to see the attractions. I haven't had trouble finding my way around from here. The rooms are clean and tidy, with decent sized beds, a working desk, an en-suite bathroom and good temperature control. They're practical and comfortable, though not full of cutting-edge design. Staff at the Mercure Bedford are approachable and keen to help, whether you're checking in or asking for local recommendations. Requests are usually handled smoothly and with a smile. The lobby and dining or bar areas are kept in good order, and you feel looked after without too much fuss.

The central location and river views make this good value for money. I found the staff welcoming and helpful, which made the stay feel warm and personal. Rooms are spacious, tidy and well equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast had a good range of options too. It's a lovely choice for a Bedford visit, and I'd definitely recommend it.

I stopped in for lunch at Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel and the food was fresh, delicious and prepared really well, better than I expected. One staff member stood out for his warm manner, care and attention to detail, which made the meal feel extra special. A relaxing lunch spot with great food and even better hospitality.
