The room was clean, comfortable and laid out nicely, and the lobby was pleasant with friendly people at check-in. But the noise made it one of the worst nights’ sleep I’ve had. I soon understood why there were earplugs in the room: bins and people shouting outside all night, then a building site started at 6.02am. I’ve never asked to change rooms before, but I did this time. The new room was smaller and a bit more run down, and there was a dirty sock beside the bed. I wasn’t happy with the place and am unlikely to return.

After a previous stay with a multitude of problems, the hotel gave me a complimentary stay to make up for it. I waited to review until I’d seen whether they could make things right, and I’m glad I did. The service was fantastic, with friendly staff, and our suite was phenomenal, with stunning views of the city centre and an extremely comfortable bed. We slept brilliantly. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices for different tastes, including a vegan section. I’d absolutely return, and I want to thank the staff for giving us a 10/10 stay.

I stayed in December 2025 and still can’t work out how this hotel has five stars. We booked an upgraded city view room. The city view was there, but the upgrade was much less obvious. And what’s going on with the curtains in the lobby? The welcome plate had two macarons and a brownie, but they tasted as if they’d only just been thawed. We were supposed to get a glass of prosecco on arrival too, though it never seemed to turn up. The minibar wasn’t complimentary, and the prices were laughable. Tesco across the road is the real VIP experience. Breakfast was crowded and chaotic, like an airport at peak travel time, and oddly stressful. There are genuinely good five-star hotels nearby for similar prices, so I don’t get how this place holds its rating. The ironic part is that the four-star hotel we stayed in the following night was much better in every way. I’m still puzzled.

The location made getting around the city easy, with everything close by. My room was spotless, spacious and luxuriously furnished, and the elegant décor and comfort were excellent. The staff went above and beyond, and the service was impeccable. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had in Belfast. Worth every star.

We chose to stay here for our wedding, and I’m so glad we did. The location by city Hall is perfect and the rooms are lovely, but it was the staff who made the day and the stay so special. Everyone we met, from the concierge to the bar staff, was incredible. Trisha and Sarah even served as our witnesses and were brilliant cheerleaders. Trisha especially went above and beyond, and I can’t thank her enough. The team creates a unique experience for guests. We’ll definitely return whenever we’re in Belfast. Thank you for the wonderful stay and a memory we’ll treasure.
