I would happily stay here again if I'm in the area. Linda, the proprietress, was welcoming and used a map to point out the best views and where to catch the sunrise. It's a historic building with lovely decor and a well-appointed room. Breakfast was a good continental selection, served in the room with distancing in place.

The owner gave us lots of useful suggestions for things to do nearby, which helped during our stay in Spittal. We felt very welcome, and everything was done cheerfully to make our visit enjoyable. It must have been hard to run a B&B during the virus period, but we had a comfortable stay.

The hostess was very friendly, and the room was very clean, though perhaps a little cluttered for my taste. Breakfast was just right, with locally sourced bacon and a duck egg. We had a lovely stay.

A beautiful place, and the landlady is lovely, like Mother Earth. xxx
