We arrived at 10.00, too early to check in, and the entrance, windows and net curtains looked dirty. When we came back around 14.00, nothing had changed. I tried the door and called the telephone number, but only got an answering machine. I’d booked by phone in February for Saturday 19th May, and the owner never called to explain what was going on. An illness, a death in the family, anything, but there was no word at all. A resident down the road, cleaning her windows, wondered if they’d gone away in their new £60,000+ motor home. As we walked around Berwick, all the other B&Bs had no-vacancy signs, but luckily we did find somewhere. Absolutely no thanks to Mansergh House. I’ve never left negative feedback before, but they deserve it. Terrible!
