We were actually staying in 6 Mill wharf, and the apartment had everything we needed. The hosts were amazing, and the views from the window were fantastic. I loved watching the boats in the harbour, even though there weren’t as many this late in the season. Last night we saw the big lorries arrive at the dock, and by morning they were all gone, like the tide had gone out. Watching the tide come in and out never gets old, it’s fascinating. We also saw three swans swimming along into the harbour.

We had a lovely time watching the seal and the flotilla of swans, with great views across the harbour from the flat. The owners were lovely and attentive, and even suggested taking the train to Edinburgh, which turned out to be a great idea. The flat had everything we needed and made a great base for our Northumbrian adventure. Thanks very much.
