The Rob Roy Inn

The Rob Roy was immaculate, and the photos really don't do it justice. We ended up here after a bit of a dilemma with our original Air B and B, and the owner clearly takes great pride in the place. After our 5pm Sunday call, the room was ready within minutes and we were welcomed at the door with open arms. It had all the basics, and the bed was so soft. Breakfast was impressive, with plenty to choose from and unlimited coffee, my favourite part. It looks a bit out of the way on Google Maps, but it's actually closer to the nicer beach at Spittal and only 10 minutes over the bridge into town. It's a bit old school, but I'll be going back!

We left the car parked right outside on the road and explored on foot. Pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops were all within a 20-minute walk. The hotel was clean, tidy and well presented, and our plush ground-floor room had everything needed for a weekend. The shower room was outstanding. We did hear a guest making a lot of noise late one night, perhaps after too much to drink, but it didn't really affect our stay or reflect badly on the hotel. All in all, 10/10, and I'd stay again when in the area. I thoroughly recommend the riverside café for a full breakfast too, also 10/10. :-)

Linda was very helpful, and the room was just as expected, clean and cosy, with a comfortable bed. The B&B was lovely, very clean and tidy. Breakfast was exceptional and tasty, with thick bacon and delicious sausages. Great value for money, 10/10. Thank you.

A spotless place with great communication, ideal for a family stay or a night away. The location was great, and the tastefully decorated rooms had everything we needed, including a very comfy bed. It all felt luxurious. I'd highly recommend it.
