The owners have made this a lovely, cosy guesthouse, and they were friendly and welcoming. They clearly work hard behind the scenes, but still give you space to enjoy the area. Our room was cleaned to perfection. We had a superb stay, and this is one of the nicest guesthouses we've been lucky enough to visit. A few things to know: there’s no lift between floors and no disabled access, so I wouldn't recommend it if wheelchair access is needed. The property is well lit, including the gated entrance at the back. Breakfast is served downstairs in the main dining room, not in bed as mentioned in older reviews. We didn't have breakfast because we're not breakfast people, but it is available. They don't serve lunch or dinner. The guesthouse is about a minute from town, with at least six places to eat: a curry house, a Chinese restaurant further up the road, and the rest are pubs or cafes. There’s a proper kettle in the room, plus drink-making supplies, Wi-Fi, body wash and shower toiletries with a flannel. The lounge is lovely, and has a minibar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The shower wasn't very powerful and sometimes cut out. Maybe that was because other guests were showering at the same time. We've had that happen elsewhere too, so it may not be a problem unique to this guesthouse. There are a few parking spots at the property, which I'd highly recommend, as parking in Betsy Cowyd can be difficult and it gets busy. There’s a train station and an art gallery to explore, plus independent shops and outdoor wear shops. Zip World is about five minutes away by car. Llandudno, with the nearest McDonald's retail park, a cinema and a KFC, is around a 30-minute drive. Back in Betsy Cowyd, there are plenty of walks for all sorts of people. It’s a lovely little town, and the owners work incredibly hard.

We stayed for a few days' holiday and I recommend this place 100%. The room was clean and cosy, and the breakfasts were very tasty, with several choices ordered on a form the day before. The owners are lovely, capable people who share their enthusiasm when chatting. They’re happy to talk about nearby attractions and suggest what to see or how to adjust your plans to make them more interesting. A great place.

The room was beautiful, really clean and relaxing, and the vegan pancakes were amazing. My partner and I are vegan, and they looked after us well. The owners were outstanding hosts and sent clear information before we arrived, which came in handy throughout our stay. I’d recommend this place to everyone. Can't wait to come back!

We got great value, lovely service and a neat, tidy room at Afon View. Coffee, tea and biscuits were generously provided, the bathroom was big, and the Wi-Fi was great. The place has its own parking and check-in was fuss-free, right in the middle of town. We stayed four days to holiday in Yr Wyddfa(Snowdon). We met the owner, Gid (not sure about the spelling), just before checking out and had a great chat. His family has been there for a couple of years, and Gid knows the area really well. It would be great to ask him for ideas about places to visit. Highly recommended!

We came home with lots of lovely new memories from our stay at Afon view and the places we visited around Wales. Gid gave us a warm welcome, made a fantastic breakfast, and was helpful with recommendations for places to see. Nothing was too much trouble. The house was in a fantastic location and very well presented. Everything was clean and tidy, and it smelled so lovely as we walked in. The bedroom was modern, very clean and comfortable. It was a lovely three-day weekend break, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you, Afon view, for making our stay such a nice one. My husband and I will cherish those memories.
