The view from our first-floor room was stunning, and the place is only about five minutes from the station, with Pont-y-Pair Bridge just nearby. We stayed two nights in a room that felt warm and cozy without being cramped. The shared fridge and Netflix were nice extras. We had a fantastic time and will be back.

We were right in the middle of town, close to the sights and amenities, which made the location really handy. Room 6, the Superior King, was a decent size, clean, and had a very comfortable king bed. Other guests slamming doors could get a bit noisy, but I'd definitely stay again.
The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in, and our room stayed completely quiet despite being right by the main road. The owners were friendly and helpful, the rooms immaculate and well equipped. The multi-device power adaptor was the best I've come across. There's also a lovely terrace at the back, and we appreciated the discounts at a local cafe and restaurant. The listing on Booking.com says parking is free, but that isn't correct. The hotel itself is clear that it doesn't offer parking. We paid £15 per 24 hours at a busy car park about 100 yards away, adding £30 to our stay, and finding a space can be difficult, so leave plenty of time. That parking error is the only reason for our 9.9 /10 rating. We still thought it was excellent value and would return without hesitation. It's right in the middle of Betsy, next to lovely shops and convenience shops, with scenic walks all around and day trips within reach, including Conway, Llanddudno, Beddgelert and Snowdon.
Getting around was easy, with the train station, bus stop, places to eat and drink, and a few shops all nearby. Room 10 looked out over the river, hill and field. The room itself was fairly spacious and mostly clean, the bed reasonably comfortable, and we had what we needed. The bathroom was small but usable, and the shower had good heat and pressure. The owners have arrangements for 10% off at two restaurants, one next door and the other a 12-minute bus ride away. The room had a musty smell, so we left the window open. That meant the traffic on the main road below was very loud, especially from around 6 in the morning. The floorboards were old and unfinished, with nails that caught our socks. There wasn't enough space for luggage, such as a chair or rack. The walls are thin, though our considerate neighbors didn't cause a major problem and we could hear them at times. The door had a lock and doorstop, but no security latch. Some bathroom details were frustrating: no floor towel or hand towel, no shampoo or conditioner, and the supplied body wash was nearly empty. Both sink and shower drained slowly, the sink-plug instructions were confusing and lacked punctuation, and the toilet didn't flush easily or well. Check-in was easy and didn't involve meeting anyone, but the instructions arrived by email at 3 pm that day, so we needed data. We were on Wi-Fi only and the train Wi-Fi was unreliable, which made it difficult. Staff at the nearby Indian restaurant could presumably help, but we wouldn't have known that without Wi-Fi. The few staff we encountered were fine, though they mostly smiled and passed by without saying they worked there or checking how things were. We'd rather stay somewhere else next time.
The room was a good size, clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. We were travelling light, so having a hair dryer was especially useful. Everything was within walking distance, and communication about check-in and parking suggestions was good. We'd booked two rooms but were missing one key when we arrived. Someone came over quickly with the spare. The bathroom had a musty smell, and the shower was temperamental until we got the hang of it, though perhaps it was because nobody else was showering at the same time. We could hear other guests talking, walking about and flushing toilets. Just a note, this isn't a hotel now and breakfast isn't served, though there are plenty of breakfast spots in the village. Wi-Fi was available, but we weren't given the password. We didn't look in the front room, but some information in the guest rooms would have helped.
