Copps Castle B&B

We stayed in the family room and found the beds great. The breakfast menu was superb, and the location was peaceful and excellent. Karen is a fantastic host. This is easily one of the best B&Bs we’ve stayed in, and we’d highly recommend it. Thanks so much, Karen, we loved our stay.

The rooms were incredibly comfortable and had everything we could need, including robes. Breakfast was amazing, and the host was wonderful. You can tell she loves what she does, and her family has worked hard to make this a five-star place that could rival any five-star hotel I’ve stayed in, though I haven’t been to many. I could easily spend a week here. We also happened to discover that we had a friend in common with another couple staying there. I’d suggest spending more than one night so you can enjoy the area. This was easily the best stay of my vacation.

The breakfast was delicious, with lots of variety, fresh fruit, yoghurt and a menu of freshly cooked options from Karen. We were blown away, and were still so full we didn’t need any other food that day! We booked at very short notice and it was no problem at all. Our double room was quiet and well equipped, and the bed was really comfortable. The external bathroom was extraordinary, with everything provided. Such a lovely stay. The area is nice, with a few pubs a short drive away. Just make sure to use an ATM before you arrive, as the nearest one is quite far. I absolutely recommend this place and hope I get the chance to return.

Karen even drove me to the heliport for my flight to Lundy Island. The accommodation was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, and the bathroom was superbly equipped. Breakfast was superb too, especially for a fairly kosher observant Jew like me, as I’m increasingly tired of only being offered the vegetarian “alternative.” The kippers were delicious, as was the rest of the hot breakfast, and the cold breakfast starter was plentiful. The tea was excellent. I stayed at Copps Castle in October 2015 and can recommend it without reservation. Do stay at this lovely B&B, don’t pass it by.
