Westbeach Holiday Apartments

Westbeach was a fantastic place to stay, right on the seafront and clean, tidy and modern. The kitchen had everything we needed for a long weekend, the bed was comfortable with soft linen, and the bathroom was lovely and clean. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a coastal break in North Devon.

The check-in and parking were both easy, and the apartment was spotless, comfortable and had everything our family of four and two dogs needed. It’s right by the beach, shops and pubs, so the central location was ideal for dog walks and watching the sea in the evening. We had a great stay at Westbeach Apartments and will definitely book for next year.

We had such an enjoyable stay at Westbeach Holiday Apartments last August with our children that we’re coming back this year. The apartments were spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, which made a real difference for our family, and everything from check-in to departure felt smooth and welcoming. Definitely a five-star experience. Highly recommended for a relaxing, family-friendly seaside holiday!

We stayed here in August and were disappointed not to hear back after sending feedback through the form afterwards and on the paper version in the room. The accommodation wasn’t clean, which was a first for me. We arrived at 4pm to check in, but it was still being cleaned and we were asked to return in 10 minutes. With no lift working to the 3rd floor, we had to lug our things, toddler and two dogs back down three flights of stairs. When we returned at 4:15pm, cleaning was still underway. I think they finished around 4:20ish, so check-in was late after we’d spent most of the day travelling and were tired. The apartment was very dirty. The worst thing was a skid mark in the toilet, along with crumbs on the bottom surface of the coffee table and a wrapper under the sofa. It’s a shame, because the apartment had a lot of potential and a lovely view. We stay in the Appledore Westward Ho! area each year and had been excited to find somewhere else to return to. But because of the poor cleanliness, I wouldn’t recommend it. After reading the story of the site and how the owners were ripped off by an investor, I really wanted to like the apartments. But cleanliness is non-negotiable for us.
