After a really difficult day, Katherine and Terry took my last-minute booking without any hassle and made me feel at home. They also recommended some fantastic local restaurants and were happy to help with anything I asked. I can't praise them enough, they're proof there are still fantastic people in the world. Thanks for turning a bad day into a great experience. I'll visit again next time I'm in the area.

I stayed here for three or four months back in 2014, and it was wonderful. The hosts' hospitality made the place feel like home, and they felt like parents to me. I still remember the house's smell, the taste of the food and the host family's smiles. Those memories will always be part of me.

As a woman travelling alone for business, I was thrilled with the hospitality at Elmdon lodge. Terry was brilliant, welcoming and accommodating. The room was spotless, and I've never slept in a more comfortable hotel bed. A real hidden gem, highly recommended.

Breakfast had loads of choice and was plentiful, even for my fussy youngster. The shower was properly hot the next morning, which isn't always a given elsewhere. We were in room No9, a lovely, clean and cosy room, and the beds were warm. Terry gave us an amazing welcome at check-in, and Catgerine was such a lively woman. Terry and Catherine were lovely hosts, and the place felt much nicer than a crowded larger establishment.
