Blythewood Guest House

The kitchen food was very basic, and the bread was almost stale. My room felt cold and extremely bare. Jane was loud at night and I found her quite obnoxious. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

The breakfast had a great selection, and we could use the kitchen any time of day or night for fresh milk, fruit, or yoghurt. Pat was a lovely host, and the place felt clean and like a home away from home. My daughter and I were in town for Crufts at the NEC, which was only about 10 minutes away. I felt very safe travelling with her, and we'd definitely come back for another weekend.

I was travelling alone for work and stayed for two weeks. It felt safe and like a home from home, with a clean room and a wonderful host. Town is under a 10-minute walk away, as is Morrisons, and there's also a lovely Harvester within walking distance.

It was handy being able to use the microwave and fridge in the breakfast room for my own evening meal, so I didn't have to find somewhere to eat. I also liked serving myself at breakfast. The owners were helpful when needed but otherwise let me get on with things. The guesthouse was peaceful, with a village feel, and a short drive from the NEC, which worked perfectly for my business event. I had a comfortable stay.
