This quiet, private cottage is close to shops, places to eat, buses, and the railway station, with parking right outside. It’s a hidden gem in the centre of Stourbridge, with clean, beautiful decor, quality furniture, bedding, and linen. The kitchen is fully equipped, there’s a dining table and chairs, and both smart TVs have sky sports. The hosts were welcoming without being intrusive, and available if we needed anything. They’d left plenty of food necessities for us to use. A wonderful, perfect holiday!

Hagley lodge 409 is the best shared housing I’ve seen. It’s the cleanest, with friendly staff and decent people living there. £10 a week is pennies for what you get: WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, and electric heating. My room was clean and so was the shower. If you’ve had a bad time there, it was you. Simple, if you’re clean, sort it out.

This isn’t a hotel or a B&B, and you can’t book a room. It’s a male-only hostel run by a social housing association.

Thankfully, I only stayed one night. The place was basic and dirty, and the shower was broken. Better said little about it, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
