I booked through booking.com because this place was close to the gym where I planned to exercise each day. When I arrived, the door codes they’d sent didn’t work. The owner couldn’t be reached by phone; the number only played a prerecorded message, and I waited around 40 minutes before giving up. I messaged through booking.com and got the same codes half an hour later, then no reply for four days. I was fortunate enough to afford another hotel. Without that, I could have been left out in the freezing Birmingham weather with nowhere to stay. The owner later refused a refund despite not providing the accommodation. Avoid.

The room was clean and nice, and I enjoyed staying there. The bed and mattress could’ve been more comfortable, though. I hope they improve that for a future visit.

There wasn’t anything good about the place. It was a smelly, mouldy shared house, and I had a terrible time dealing with the rude management. They also didn’t return the full amount I was owed. I’d look elsewhere.

Food was taken from the kitchen, which was filthy, as was the fridge. The house is let to what I’d call very undesirable tenants. Stay away.
