The pub and restaurant are the real draw here. Sunday lunch was one of the best roasts I've had, cooked really well and served in good portions. The staff are lovely, too. Our son is at Birmingham university, and the Inn is ideally placed for visiting him for a weekend. The rooms are basic and could use a light refurbishment, but they're very reasonably priced. If we lived nearby, we'd be regulars.

Great value for rooms, service, food and beer. The buffet breakfast is a bargain, and there are good vegetarian choices across the menus. Dining areas are quiet, with separate big-screen spaces for watching sports. The attic beers are kept well and are genuinely excellent.

The fish and chips are banging, and the food and service are both very good. Staff are welcoming, friendly and hospitable, and make you feel looked after. There's also a brilliant display of various World Cup flags, and TVs in the rooms so locals can watch it here from the 11th. I'd recommend it.

Stirchley is a gem, a properly cool area with the varied food and drink spots you'd find in Bearwood. Our room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and clean bedding. The staff make the place, too. They were friendly and attentive and always greeted us with a smile. For all that, the room was well worth the price, and I'd definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this bed and breakfast for a month and had no problems. I felt at home as a Brazilian, and I'd strongly recommend it. The staff were all kind and friendly, and the room was cleaned every day while I was out. They provide an iron and ironing board, plus proper equipment for making your own tea or coffee. You can eat lunch in the room, and there's a supermarket across the road, which is handy. Bournville station is also close, about a 7 minute walk. You can't hear any pub noise in the room.
