The family room worked perfectly for the four of us, and James at reception was genuinely welcoming. He fixed the digital keys after spotting that his colleague had set them to expire a day before we were due to leave. Thanks to him, we had a good stay for our 30th birthday celebration in BHam. Getting checked in was a struggle, though. My booking confirmation said check-in began at 3:00 PM and ended at midnight, with a minimum age of 18. I gave the desk my booking number, but the man there seemed distracted and insisted on ID, even though it wasn't listed as a requirement. I don't carry a wallet, and he then asked whether I had a photo of my ID. I've stayed in plenty of hotels and never had this happen. It was a pretty half-hearted interaction.

A handy place to crash in Brum. The beds had a nice spring to them and were really comfortable, and the rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and happy to help. The kitchen was clean too, with plenty of food, drinks and snacks.

The room looked great, but the loft's kitchen area was just a tiny fridge, with no cooker or microwave. They could use that space better. There was no heating and the water was cold, so I was freezing each night and couldn't get a decent shower. Really frustrating.

Found this little place by chance. The rooms are cheap, it's clean, and the location works well for events at the Utilita Arena. For the price, it's hard to complain.

I often stay here in JQ and came this time for a salsa night. I'd booked the mixed dorm, but it was all men, so I asked to switch and they were happy to move me to the all-female one. It was peaceful, the beds were really comfy, and each space had its own light and charging point. Thanks!
