Our weekend in Birmingham was for my mum's birthday, and Bernie made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The room wasn't ready yet, so she offered to look after our bags and pointed us to a nearby bar where we could have a drink while we waited. She was friendly, bubbly, and really helpful. A lovely start to the trip, thanks Bernie!

Chris, the manager on duty, was especially kind to our kids during check-in, and all the staff came across as professional. At breakfast I asked for a soft-boiled egg, and they made it just the way I like it. The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. We had a pleasant stay last weekend. Thank youuu!

There's plenty to eat and drink within a five-minute walk, and New Street Station is about 10-15 minutes away on foot. The hotel itself is in a great location, with clean, tidy rooms. The restaurant serves decent-value food, mostly typical pub grub, and breakfast is a good self-service buffet.

We found the location ideal for walking to the library and Brindley Place along the canal, with trams and buses only a short way off. I booked an accessible room because my friend couldn't manage a bath. It was spacious, with a good-sized wet room. Breakfast was fine for the price. There's no on-site parking unless you have a disabled badge; my friend had one, and we got a space without a problem.

We spent my 40th birthday weekend here with the family. Bernie at reception was a real highlight, always attentive and helpful, and such a joy to be around. The hotel was nice, and our room was clean and comfortable. Thanks for all your help, Bernie!
