Renting this house could leave you ill. I wouldn't risk it.

The beds were in such bad shape you could feel the floor through them, and one had bed bugs. None had actually been cleaned, despite the duvets being neatly laid out to give that impression. With 14 of us, we had to spend our first night in a hotel, and those costs still haven't been paid back. The garden swing was broken and one of the children fell from it. There were stickers for fitness equipment on the wall, but no equipment to be found. Hygiene was awful, and the house creaked nearly everywhere. What a dramatic stay. People, be warned, don't rent this property!

The swing in the garden is broken, so don't let your children use it. All the beds sag down to the floor, and one of them had bedbugs. The bedding looked neatly arranged, but it hadn't been washed. We had to move 14 guests to a hotel, and the man who was meant to cover the bill has disappeared. The rest of the house was a complete mess too. The same property is apparently listed on multiple platforms, sometimes under another name at a higher price. If someone books it for more, they cancel your booking, according to what happened to us. We booked on booking.com, and it was also listed there under another name. The same applies to Airbnb. The cleaner's phone number is on the booking confirmation, which is why I don't believe the owner's likely response that the house isn't his. This will have consequences. We rented the apartment at 59 Bushmore Road in Birmingham.
