The Saltley Inn

Em and Bryan made us feel so welcome at this lovely family run pub. We had the family room, room 31, and it was just what we needed. Breakfast was beautiful, and Em makes the best morning tea. It really felt like home from home. We’ll stay here again when we come back next year. Thanks for being such lovely hosts, love Ellie x

For a low price, the room was good and the staff were really friendly. Check-in and checkout were straightforward. There are plenty of food spots and shops just across the road, in a great area.

The bed was more comfortable than beds I’ve had in hotels costing two or three times as much. I stayed for two nights while going to the entertainment at alexandra theatre. The room was a decent size, standard but very clean, with an en suite bathroom. Staff were outstanding and nothing seemed too much trouble. Parking is the one issue. I came by coach, so it didn’t affect me, and if you can manage the parking situation, you won’t regret staying here. 10/10.

After our van broke down on the m42 on the way back from Cardiff, we spent six hours waiting for recovery. Once we reached a garage in Birmingham city centre, we booked here, and the hosts were absolutely amazing. We had a lot of tools with us, and a young man helped carry them up the stairs to our room, which was a big help. The room was small but very clean, and the shower was the best I’ve had in the Birmingham area. I’d definitely stay again. Wishing the bar and hotel all the best.
