Woodlands Hotel

The hotel was very quiet, and the beds were really comfortable. Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We stayed for one night and were welcomed by a lovely lady. Breakfast was very good, and all the staff were welcoming and polite. I’d highly recommend it and will be back.

It’s less than three miles from the city centre, with a bus stop right outside. The ride to Coley Row takes about 20 minutes, so the location worked well for a trip into Birmingham. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The decor felt old fashioned and dated to me, and wasn’t really my taste. The room had what you’d expect, apart from a couple of things: no air-con and no bathroom toiletries. I’d still recommend the hotel.

The room was comfortable, clean, tidy, and warm. The owner gave us a friendly welcome, and breakfast was cooked well and ready at the time we asked for. Parking and breakfast were included, so it was great value for the price. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from 5 star restaurants. This hotel may not suit everyone, so it’s worth checking the pictures and reviews.

Our family room was a good size and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was included, with tea, coffee, juice, cereal, toast and jam, plus a cooked meal of two bacon rashers, one sausage, an egg, tinned tomato, and beans. The car park had electric hookup and was secured overnight. There’s a small Tesco convenience store across the road. The only issue for me was the mattress, which wasn’t firm enough and felt like a spring was digging into my hip. It was hot, so we slept on the duvet cover and used the flat sheet over us. The bed had both a fitted sheet and a flat sheet.
