Little Owl Lodge

The local Barn Owl was a treat, and we loved seeing the nearby Alpacas as well. It's a peaceful base for exploring Teesdale's scenery and the history of Durham city. The hosts are welcoming and thoughtful, and this is an excellent holiday home. Deserves six stars!

We really don't want to leave. We're even looking at houses around here so we could move and stay nearby! The views are amazing, and the owners are wonderful. If you need help or have an issue, they're just a phone call away. There's a useful information pack, and you can watch the Alpacas wandering about from your window at any time of day. You can also arrange with the owners to go feed them and spend about an hour hearing about them and being with them. Mobile signal is really poor, but there's free WiFi if you want to stay connected. It's been our own little peaceful bit of time and happiness away from everything and everyone. We can't wait to return.

There's loads of space in the lodge, but it doesn't feel too big or overpowering. The view is fantastic and the owners are amazing. It's well placed for getting around, while still feeling peaceful and settled into its surroundings. Can't wait to come back.

This definitely won't be our last visit. The owners are fab and have been so accommodating of my needs. Thanks so much, we love it here!
