We booked for two nights, but only stayed one. The room was a tiny box room with a double bed, and the fire alarm woke everyone at 3am. It’s cheap online, and that’s what you get. We moved to a place around the corner and paid £45 for a much better night’s sleep. Make your own mind up.

This was our second room, because the first was even worse. The box room was dirty, the bathroom was falling apart, and rubbish was shoved beside the bed. Springs poked through the double mattress. The cups had orange liquid in them, with the tea, coffee and sugar packs just thrown on top. We were woken at 3am, and apparently that happens most nights. Should’ve been zero stars.

We booked two rooms, but one couldn’t be used because both beds in it were broken, so six of us ended up in the other room, which also had a broken bed with springs coming through the mattress. The place was filthy, with no toilet roll or towels, and the man at reception didn’t understand what I was asking. We were meant to be at the main hotel, Grand Beach, but were put here instead. The hallway lights by the stairs didn’t work, the window in room 309 was cracked, and the chest of drawers was broken too.

We booked six rooms, and every one had a faulty shower. The sheets were disgusting, with yellow stains underneath, and walking barefoot on the dirty carpet made our feet itch. Check-in was an hour late, and one toilet still had unflushed feces in it. I’ve stayed in some awful hotels, but this one takes the lead. There was something wrong everywhere, and the place made me feel sick. I could write a 10,000-word essay about how disgusting it was, but I don’t want to waste more time. Those five-star reviews have to be fake.
