We had a great time here, and the food was amazing: lots of choice and served hot. You have to order eggs other than scrambled, but they came quickly. The staff were very friendly, and the best thing for me was how very, very dog friendly the place is. Clean hotels that welcome dogs can be hard to find. We've stayed in some real grot holes, but this place was lovely, relaxing, full of gorgeous dogs, and made us feel right at home. Can't wait to come back. Our first stay won't be our last. We had a superior sea view room, and everything was clean and great. The bathroom radiator couldn't be adjusted, so it was VERY warm, but we cooled the room by changing the radiator setting there. Some of the room is a little dated, though not enough to put me off. The large TV has loads to watch if you have accounts for services such as All4 or Netflix. The hotel's on the promenade, not far from town. We were former Fylde Coast residents and chose it to meet friends before moving from Manchester to Berkshire. We had lunch with them both days, enjoying the sea view from the lovely sheltered dining room. Breakfast had a great choice too. The staff were especially kind and thoughtful to our companion Geoge, our gorgeous Shih Tzu who comes everywhere with us. You made us all feel so welcome.
The food was good and reasonably priced, and the tram stop is right outside. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I had a great single room, but as it faced east, there were no blackout curtains. They also have dog-friendly rooms and very large accessible rooms.
Big thanks to Nicola in the dining hall. She made everyone feel welcome, checked in with us, and helped with requests like topping up food, getting bread and using the toasters. She's a real asset to the hotel. The hotel was okay, though a bit dated and tired, with worn carpets and windows that wouldn't open properly. Parking costs extra, and after paying you can't move the car because there's no guarantee you'll get the space back. The other staff were friendly.
Morgan is a real asset to the company. They're friendly, made us feel very welcome, and deserve a pay rise 😀 We had an immaculate room at the front on the second floor, with a comfy bed, lovely sea views and a good shower. There was a nice range of tea and coffee, plus a coffee machine. The hotel is great, highly recommended, and close enough to walk to the town centre while still being far enough away to stay quiet.
We had lunch with our guests on both days, enjoying the sea view from the shelter of the beautiful dining room. Breakfast was excellent too, with lots of choice. We spent two nights at The Carlton Hotel, Blackpool, on the promenade and not far from town. As former Fylde Coast residents, we picked it for a get-together with friends before moving from Manchester to Berkshire. It didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, and so kind and thoughtful to our companion Geoge, our gorgeous Shih Tzu who comes everywhere with us. They made us all feel welcome, and you'll be top of our list next time.
