For the price, it’s a decent hotel with luxury decor, close to the front and main attractions, and I’d visit again. Staff were happy to hold our things since we arrived before check-in, and the room was clean. The bathroom was a little small. The lift was broken, which wasn’t convenient with a baby, as we had to carry everything upstairs along with the baby. Our room faced the main road, so there was some noise.

The hotel itself is nice, and the room was small but tidy and clean. There was nowhere practical to plug in the kettle: the only socket was under the sink and the cord wouldn’t reach. The shower water never got warm, though the taps did. The website didn’t mention a parking charge. We only found out after arriving and parking that it cost £10.00, payable in cash only. When I questioned that, the man behind the counter brushed off the comment.

The room was clean and had a modern feel, and the bed was comfortable, but I kept kicking it because the room was so small. The shower was tiny, the pillows were awful and thin, and the supplied shower gel was out of date. The safe wasn’t secured to anything. WiFi didn’t work properly, and there was a strong smell of weed from a neighbouring room. Thin walls meant loud music and talking woke me at 5am. The 24 hour access was good. NO HAIRDRYER!

The location was lovely, and there’s a food shop no more than about five minutes away on foot. The whole building was clean, with an amazing room, a comfortable bed and a great looking bathroom. Tea, coffee, both types of sugar and a kettle were provided. There were no queues at reception when we arrived.
