Jini Hotel

For a cheap night out or a place to stay while travelling, it was good bang for your buck and did what it said on the tin. It's on the outskirts of north shore, across from the beach and away from the town centre bustle. We had no trouble from other guests, and everyone we met on the stairs was sweet and chatty. We wouldn't recommend it for families in its current state. We stayed for two nights and were greeted by a lovely, very helpful staff member who explained everything. After climbing what felt like Mount Everest, we reached a dated bedroom fit for Jeffrey Dahmer. The furniture was clean and the TV worked, but the bathroom had no door, which made number 2s awkward. The bed was super comfortable, and our room had been made up with fresh towels while we were out. The genuine staff were kind. As a bonus, my partner was thrilled to find a packet of tobacco in the cupboard!

There was a sudden death in the family, so we couldn't stay and tried to cancel. Our cancellation was declined, with no sympathy or refund. After reading the reviews, I'm glad we didn't go. Hopefully the money can go toward cleaning and fixing up your shabby hotel 😄

The room was freezing and filthy, so we bought a small blanket and slept on the floor rather than use the bed. Staff were nowhere to be seen, there were holes in the bathroom wall, and the shower water was freezing instead of hot. We got just one towel each for the three days. The service we received was disgusting.

The room was falling apart, and the bed sagged so badly that my back is killing me. A group ran and screamed up and down the hall at 3AM, and although they say they care about customers, nobody did anything. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Never again.
