The location was convenient because everything was close, but I wouldn’t stay here again. We weren’t even allowed to have music on, and I think the owner should check the bedrooms and mattresses. I stayed in room 4. We arrived Thursday, and by Friday morning my body was itchy. I’ve never had bites like this before. My friends thought they looked like bed bug bites, and after we got home I asked my doctor, who also said they looked like bites from bed bugs. I’d send a picture if I knew where to send it. I’ve been to Blackpool 20 times and stayed at different hotels, but I’ve never seen anything like this. I’d rather sleep outside. I’m never coming back to the Malibu Hotel.

The room was extremely basic, which was fine since we only needed somewhere to crash after the bars, and the location was brilliant for Funny girls and the gay bars on NYE. You could step outside and cross the road. We’d booked a triple room, which was a double room with an adjoining room containing two single beds. The first man showing us in couldn’t open the connecting door, but another man sorted it about 20 minutes later and was very friendly and polite. That was a huge contrast to the first man, who used racist language about other guests while speaking to us. After that, we knew we wouldn’t return, whatever else happened. There wasn’t anywhere to hang coats or bags in the double room, and no desk or dressing table. The kettle and cups were on a bedside table. The window was stiff and its handle loose, so we worried it might break. The room needed some care: the mattress was lumpy, the walls had damage in several places, and the bathroom looked tired. The water was warm, but the pressure was too low for a decent shower. Around 3 a.m., a hotel staff member had to move the neighbours because their room was leaking. There was a lot of noise while they got them into another room. We won’t be back.

For the price, the room was really impressive: spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The carpets could do with an update, but otherwise the quality was unbelievable. Good TV, comfy beds, decent shower and toilet facilities, and even a living room. The location is close to the town centre, and the price makes it nearly a 10 out of 10. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone.

The decor was lovely and it was clean. This is a nice B&B-style place in the centre of Blackpool, easy to find and get into, and check-in and checkout were simple. The host was lovely too. The fire alarm going off at 9 a.m. was the downside, as I wasn’t expecting that. I’d stay again.
