We thought about switching hotels, but would have lost the money we’d paid. The breakfast room stank, and in the 8.30-9.30 eating slot all the tables were taken, so plenty of people couldn’t eat. The choice was just toast, cheese or cereal. The bathroom was filthy, and the curtains and nets were dirty too. The hotel overall was grubby, and the staff came across as unwelcoming and arrogant. I’ll never stay here again. Shocking, they shouldn’t be open.

Our top-floor view was of a backyard with pipes and rooftops, and the heating in the room didn’t work. The rooms were small and scruffy, with squeaky, lumpy beds, and even the toilet was noisy. The corridor smelled of smoke and damp, and breakfast was horrible. Toast and a brew were included, but a full English cost extra. When we asked to change rooms because we were unhappy, the ladies at reception said no.

The shower ran straight onto the bathroom floor, and the damp inside was worse than outside in the rain. The place was absolutely bogging, with nothing of value in the rooms, so the deposit seemed enough to pay for a whole floor. Staff were rude and tried to keep our deposit, claiming we all had to check out together to get it back even though we had checked in separately. Simply dreadful. Save your money and sleep in your car, or an alley somewhere. Minus stars wouldn’t be low enough. 🤮

The beds had clean sheets, but underneath the covers wasn’t nice. The building needs a refurb and the rooms smelled bad. Cleanliness was a major problem: fuzzy mould on the ceiling, an uncleaned shower with evidence of the previous guest, and the same issue with the sink and toilet. Breakfast was ridiculous, too many people and nowhere to sit and eat. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.
