Seasons 24 Guest House

We arrived to a warm welcome, and she showed my boys the Halloween display she'd made. They loved it. Our room was nice, clean, smelled good, and the service was good. Thanks for putting up birthday decorations for my son, and for having us for two nights. I'd recommend this guest house when visiting Blackpool.

I tried to book one night for my wife and daughter, choosing a double room because my daughter is 13 and could still share with her mum. My wife then got a call saying they couldn't have it and should pay for an adjoining room, because they wanted my child to have a room of her own. She also received an email from Valerie saying, “Please cancel the booking children are not permitted in my double rooms please read the fine print on my page sorry this is due to my hotel insurance. Kind Regards Valerie.” I would never recommend this place. Imagine asking a parent to get an adjoining room for their 13-year-old. Does safety mean nothing? I only gave one star so this could be posted. Worst place I've tried to book.

From 1st August to 4th August, we stayed in an attic room that felt like a prison cell, for a family of four. The woman who met us showed us up, then took our card for payment very quickly. The damp smell was strong everywhere, and there was no fire escape on our landing. We didn't see anyone for the rest of the stay, apart from the same woman peeking out of the front door to check we'd left our keys. We couldn't afford to book elsewhere, and the room ruined our stay. Maybe the other rooms are better, but the one we had to sleep in for three nights was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this guest house at all.

Val always gives us a wonderful, warm welcome, and the care and service are great. The elephant made from towels, with rocks for the children, was a fun touch. The baby is always well catered for too, which is better than most local places that don't cater for babies at all. Thanks, as always, for a lovely stay xx
