Staymor Hotel

Our room was on the small side, but the food and the people made the stay. Breakfast was lovely, and so was the coffee. The owners were amazing, really nice, and Chris and Millie looked after us so warmly that we felt like regulars, even though it was our first visit. Our son had an amazing time. Next time I’d ask for a sea view, and I’d definitely come back. Thanks so much for making our stay great.

Chris is a star, down to earth and funny, even if he is a Newcastle fan 😁😎😜. I had a great stay here. The room was fine for the amount of time I spent in it, and the owners made me an excellent breakfast.

I booked in April 2017 through a major hotel booking website and paid in full. The confirmation came through, followed by arrival reminders. But when I turned up on Sept 4, nobody answered and there was no communication during the stated check-in hours of 2pm to 8pm. I was left stranded and had to find somewhere else to stay. They’re checking post at the hotel, so they clearly either missed the booking or decided it wasn’t worth staying open. Disgraceful. I’d have removed this review if they’d given a genuine apology.

The rooms weren’t too bad, and there was a TV with quite a few channels. We were on a budget and mainly needed somewhere to sleep before and after going to pleasure beach, so the hotel was alright for that. The owner was nice, but the place felt a bit like being in someone’s home and, especially after food was taken off us, we felt watched. You can’t really use your car because the owner keeps your keys. I’d skip breakfast here. It was pretty terrible. Guess we got what we paid for.
