For the price, parking was good. Contact was fine at first, but then management stopped responding. There was no housekeeping after day one. I called and texted with no reply, and because there wasn't a vacuum, I had to buy a dustpan and brush to clean myself. The decor is dated, with damp patches, ceiling stains, isolated kitchen and bathroom fans, torn carpet, a broken wardrobe, and a bedroom TV that didn't work. I also had to ask another guest where the bins were around the back because management wouldn't answer. A few changes could have made this a five-star stay, but for me it was only two or three.

The building's frontage looks very dated and could use a general clean. We paid £500 for two nights as a family of six, which felt far too expensive for the accommodation. There were serious damp and mould problems, and the carpets felt wet, so I kept my sliders on the whole time. The mattresses had no protectors and were heavily stained with urine. Drunk neighbours argued for most of the night.

The apartment had a cot ready for us, plus free Wi-Fi, cutlery, towels, and bedding. It was handy for sleeping, showering, and storing things, but I wouldn't want to spend the day or evening inside. The location was great, within easy walking distance of the Pleasure Beach and promenade, with a Tesco nearby. Parking was tight but available, and we didn't hear the neighbours. The place wasn't well maintained: the washing machine didn't work, there was damp and some mould, and clothes left out felt cold and damp in the morning, so I'd keep them in a suitcase. The bathroom was tiny, with a small shower cubicle and wobbly sink taps. Communication with the owner was poor. I only got what felt like automated emails, and my questions went unanswered.
