A handy place to stop after a walk with the kids. We had a fresh, delicious lunch, and the kids' meals deserve a special mention because they were just right for them. The little farm shop and cafe are lovely, and the short walk to see the animals was great. The gift shop has lots of things from nearby places too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We stayed in Elm, one of the premium glamping pods, and it was spacious and well equipped, just right for a night away. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing, even in the rain. The owners were very kind and accommodated us when we needed to move the booking, which we really appreciated. We'd highly recommend it. We didn't eat at the coffee shop, but it looked great, and we did pick up takeaway coffees.

The gift shop alone is worth a look, with a great selection of cards and gifts. There’s also a free nature trail for children, farm animals, and deer, plus a duck pond across the road where you can buy feed in the shop for 50p. We found Peel Farm while looking for cafes during a few days in Angus, and it turned out to be a lovely stop. The cafe felt cosy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The fruit scone with raspberry and rhubarb jam was heavenly. The generous bowl of herby lentil soup was delicious too, and the cheesy scone and coffees were excellent. They were happy to bring me a pot of hot water as well.

That peacock was a fun surprise. We’d only stopped because we spotted a sign while hiking to the reeckie linn waterfall and needed the restroom. It turned out to be such a welcoming, homely place, with a great cafe, ice cream, baked treats and desserts, and a huge gift and clothing shop. Highly recommend!

The animals made our wander especially enjoyable, with the goats and donkeys being the most entertaining. My partner and I loved the scenery too, and it seems like a great place for a family day out. We visited Perl Farm in the first week of March 2025. There was plenty of parking, and the gift shop was lovely, with kind, friendly staff. We skipped the cafe, though the food smelled lovely. We’ll definitely come back, especially when it’s warmer and we can enjoy all the outdoor seating.
