The Black Bull

We were greeted warmly when we arrived, and the same lady looked after us throughout. She was excellent, and the food came quickly, just as described. We chose two quite different meals and both were delicious. A really nice visit.

We stay here for work every week, and the rooms, pub and food are all awesome. The staff are great too, and the service is always brilliant. Thanks, guys, for looking after us.

The service was welcoming and attentive, and the meal was lovely. We started with tasty olives, then had pizza with delicious flavours. There’s a good mix of traditional and modern options, cooked to order in a proper pizza oven. The portions and prices were good too, we even had some left to take home. On Valentine’s Day, they’d made a lovely effort with the details, including material petals, fresh roses and candles.

The pub is the real highlight, with a great atmosphere, a good range of local beers and excellent pizzas from a proper pizza oven. The food is good, and the English breakfast is delicious. The Black Bull also has a relaxed, welcoming feel, with super friendly, attentive staff. There are only a few rooms, but mine was comfortable and adequate for a short stay. I was here for business, and the location worked perfectly for me. It’s a cozy, warm hotel, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good pub experience.
