Mount Pleasant Holidays

My favourite part was the pretty private garden attached to the apartment. Claire and her family took great care of us, and my puppy loved spending time with them and their dogs. We had an amazing stay and I’d highly recommend it.

The upstairs living room was a lovely place to unwind, with forest views and songbirds to listen to. We booked Treetops at the last minute for a weekend in May, and the peaceful setting helped us switch off. The heated outdoor pool was great, with handy sun loungers, and it was never crowded. It’s become a favourite, and we’re planning to come back next year.

We’ve stayed twice now, in different cottages, most recently Treetops. The log burner kept the lounge warm and cosy, the kitchen had everything we could need, and the beds were very comfortable. From the Treetops lounge we could see Highland cows roaming around. Woodview was just as cosy, with a gorgeous outdoor seating area. The grounds are very well organised, including for social distancing. The accommodation is stunning, and the welcome pack was thoughtful and delicious. A fantastic family run place that I’d highly recommend.

The children were already asking to come back before we’d even left. They loved having the freedom to explore and say hello to the animals, especially the ponies. Matt and his family were so helpful, even opening the swimming pool a couple of weeks early and bringing the kids fresh eggs in the morning. We had a wonderful holiday in Owls Roost. The cottage was spotless and comfortable, just about big enough for three adults and two children. Everyone enjoyed the welcome hamper, especially the fresh scones with jam and clotted cream.
