The animals and lovely surroundings made our stay even better. The donkeys were delighted to see us and happily took the snacks we offered. We also spent every evening in the hot tub, a great way to unwind after days of travel and exploring. The pod was cosy, spotless and private, with everything we needed. We even got a lovely surprise of birthday decorations. Alison and Steve were so friendly and helpful, and there’s plenty to see within a short drive. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone.

I've been here three times now, and I keep coming back for the peaceful setting. Steven and Alison are lovely hosts and always happy to share tips about the area. There are beautiful beaches a short drive away and plenty of other places to visit. The hot tub is wonderfully relaxing too. My friend and I will be back next year.

The hot tub was a real treat after our days out, especially in the evening. With so little light around, we could see the moon rise and a sky full of stars while we soaked. We also made the most of the area, with two evening BBQs on Newport Beach, a visit to Picton Castle, a hike to Ffynone Waterfall, and a lovely day in Newquay. These spots were usually about a 30-minute drive away, and never more than an hour. We were a family of three, including our teenage daughter, and brought our two small dogs. The pod is compact but has what a small family needs. Once the sofa bed was out, it felt snug, with a cosy camping sort of feel. Although it’s near the main house and rental cottages, its position gives it a private feel. From the pod we could see a donkey field and, just to the left, a quiet duck pond. The donkeys and ducks were adorable and added so much to the stay. Steve and Alison made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They showed us around and made sure we had what we needed. We were also given freshly laid chicken and duck eggs and delicious homemade elderflower cordial, such thoughtful touches. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for a memorable holiday, and would love to come back.

Five stays so far, and each one has been better than the one before. The cottages are always clean and tidy, and the hosts are friendly and willing to help with anything. There are eggs and cake waiting when you arrive, and it's hard to beat being in the Welsh countryside.

Steve and Alison were brilliant, always ready to help us throughout the stay. The lodge was cosy, and we loved having a great jacuzzi and an outdoor barbecue area. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot. I'd highly recommend it.
