Lakeside Fishing Pods

Had a really relaxing stay at Lavender Lodge, enjoying the wildlife and the quiet. The lodge was spotless and had all the amenities you'd expect from a luxury lodge. Fishing was great, either from the lodge or from any of the free spaces around the lake.

The cabin was great, really clean and tidy, and there's a pizza restaurant close by. It's a nice little place, dog friendly, with a park nearby that's great for my dogs. There seemed to be lots of rules, and I think you need to reserve a slot at the park. My only concern was the fire lit outdoor hot tub. Thank God I put my arm in first. It was scalding, and I spent the next few hours trying to cool it down. I finally got in around 10pm, just in time for New Year, so be careful with the tub. Otherwise, we had a great time.

We caught eight fish altogether, seven carp and a bream, and the rooms were immaculate. We only stayed one night. I wish it could've been longer, but I had to get back for the Champions League final.

We went to the bar and pizza bar, both very nice, and I loved it there. It was self catering, and I liked having the TV for some nice evenings. The fishing was OK for that time of year.
