Chelsea Hotel

I chose The Chelsea hotel partly because of the Leonard Cohen song, and I’m glad I did. The staff I spoke with were lovely and made it feel homey. It’s just a few minutes from the station and a short walk to the centre. If I return to Bournemouth, I’ll definitely stay here again.

The owner greeted us and even moved our room from the top floor to the ground floor, which made things much easier with two young children. I’m a single mum of two, and this was our first family holiday. I came across the hotel while booking, and it’s a bargain. Breakfast is available as an optional add-on. The room was lovely and clean, with daily housekeeping done to a very high standard, and the owner really made it feel like home. Breakfast was amazing, with different choices. The hotel is a few minutes from the station, close to the town centre, and about a 20-minute walk to the beach. I’d highly recommend it and stay again if I come back to Bournemouth.

Getting the key and parking permit was straightforward, with clear instructions sent by text. The entrance hall and stairs were welcoming. Our room was comfortable, clean and nicely furnished, with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, plus a small fridge. The en-suite was adequate and the shower good. A pleasant stay and good value for money.

We had a lovely family break here. The hotel is right in the middle of town, with a wide choice of restaurants, bars and pubs nearby. Staff were friendly, helpful and knew their stuff. Our room was clean, to a high standard and suited us perfectly. Breakfast was lovely too. I’d highly recommend it.
