Eurostay Bournemouth Beach

Really good location, just a two minute walk to the beach and close to the bus station. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the service was brilliant. Five stars from me.

We stayed for a long weekend at the end of June and start of July. The room was very clean and spacious, with a large bay window, desk, wardrobe, bed, fridge and en suite. The bed was comfortable too. We got a fantastic price online, and paying for the room when we arrived was quick and easy. The front desk member was polite, and everyone we spoke with was friendly and chatty, which made us feel welcome. It was much too hot in the room during the heatwave. A desk fan would have made things more comfortable. That spell of heat was unusual, so I can’t complain too much, but it was my one gripe. We enjoyed our stay and would likely come back for the price and location.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. My only fault was that there were no locks on the toilet. Otherwise, it was perfect, and we’ll be back soon. The customer service was excellent from arrival right through to leaving. They even let us keep the car in the car park afterwards.

The man who greeted us was friendly, local and incredibly accommodating. He carried our bags up all the stairs, which was a big help as I’m pregnant, and he was a real credit to the company. They gave us breakfast too, just toast, an apple and a choice of two cereals. The location is superb, and the price was so low that we felt we couldn’t complain. Before we arrived, I’d phoned to ask whether breakfast or other food was available. The person I spoke to couldn’t understand what I was asking and hung up, so I had to call back several times. They later told us they’d considered closing because they hadn’t understood our arrival time, even though we said about 4pm. Thank God they didn’t. Inside, it was rather gross. The decor wasn’t just tired, it was dirty. The mattress had broken springs, the wall sockets seemed dodgy, and our door had no lock on the inside. The windows looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned inside since the 1980s. There’s no lift, and the games room was by far the most modern part, though it looked like people lived there. The walkways smelled of smoke. I can’t recommend it unless none of that matters to you and you just need a dry roof over your head.
