Shoreline BB

Shoreline is such a cosy, quaint house, and our room was spotless and comfortable. We found thoughtful extras like fruit, cookies, tea, coffee and a book of recommendations. Restaurants and pubs are only a six-minute walk away. Tim was a fantastic host, really friendly and quick to reply. We had a wonderful stay, and I can't recommend it enough!

The hosts, Tim and his partner, are exceptionally kind and helpful. On my second morning, I realised that none of the shirts I'd brought for my wedding outfit would work. There wasn't anywhere nearby I could reach in time, so Tim spoke to his partner, and they hurried off to their private area and brought back several lovely shirts I could borrow for the day, plus cuff-links they helped me put on. I've never had service like that. They deserve six stars out of five, and I can't recommend this B&B enough. The place itself is beautiful and immaculately kept. My room was clean, quiet, comfortable, a good size and just what I'd hoped for. The communal showers and toilets were easy to reach, and there was a sink in the room with a kettle, plenty of drinks and biscuits. The area is quiet and friendly. Go two minutes south and you're at the shore; five minutes north brings you to supermarkets, pubs, takeaways, shops and bus stops. Breakfast was really good and included in the room price, unlike at many places I've stayed. It starts quite early, but even as a late sleeper I thought it was worth getting up for. You'd easily pay £7+ elsewhere for a breakfast half as good.

We booked three rooms for a trip to Tankfest. The place was very clean and tidy, and we'd come again. The furnishings are old style but well maintained, giving it an old-school British feel that I liked. The host was helpful and provided beach towels, an iron and even laundry for a reasonable fee. It's very close to the beach, though the nearby stretch has no tourist facilities or shops. We went to Boscombe Pier, which is close by. There were also lots of friendly cats outside around the house :) One thing to know about our room: the bathroom was right beside the bed, with ventilation but no window. If you don't want to hear someone using the bathroom, or dislike stepping out of the shower into a very hot bathroom, it might not suit you.

We loved our stay. The people were lovely and welcomed our dog into their home too. Breakfast was fantastic, and guests can use the lovely kitchen with its fridge freezer and microwave by the bedrooms. I'd recommend it.
