Lakeview - 7 Indio Lake, Bovey Tracey

We love Indio lakes, and this was our fifth stay with my partner. There have never been any issues before. This time we tried a different lodge, Lodge 6, which was beautiful and very spacious. The logs were too big for the burner, though, so we couldn’t have a log fire. Hot water was hit and miss as well, sometimes perfect and very hot, other times not hot at all.

Hunters Lodge 2 is an amazing lodge, looking out over a stunning lake. The grounds are beautiful and worth walking around, and the hot tub felt perfect and private beneath a lovely canopy of trees. Ducks, Coots, Robins, Bluetits and squirrels came to visit every day. What more could we ask for? Paul and Sarah were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and went above and beyond afterwards to return a necklace I’d left behind. Thank you so much! They clearly love Indio Lake and the surrounding area. We enjoyed every minute. We only left the lodge for daily walks into Bovey Tracey to get supplies and for a couple of days out. It’s a lovely town with lots of friendly people, and we can definitely recommend the Whisky tasting at Dartmoor Whisky Distillery. It was interesting and tasted amazing. Parke was another great day out, with a gorgeous walk we could have done again and again. If you love nature, relaxing and hot tubs, this is the holiday lodge for you. Thank you, Paul and Sarah. The apartment was lovely and cosy, but it was full of cobwebs and the kitchenware was filthy. Outside, the hot tub was dirty and sinking, and the decking was in such bad shape it needs replacing. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We spent a week here for a family holiday. There was loads of room in the lovely lodge, and the grounds were pretty. The location worked well for us too.
