Balachladaich Loch Ness B&B

We loved the Highland Cow touches throughout this gorgeous, immaculate B&B. John was so friendly and did a lot to make us feel welcome. Our room was really comfortable, with a little fridge stocked with milk and water, plus a kettle. There were two chairs facing the patio doors, where we could sit and look out at Loch Ness. Breakfast was nice too. One of the best B&Bs we’ve stayed in!

John and Fiona were lovely hosts, friendly and full of useful local suggestions. The B&B sits right on Loch Ness, so our comfortable bedroom came with amazing views across the water. We really loved our stay at Balachladaich B&B and would absolutely recommend it.

The view of Loch Ness from our room was phenomenal, and breakfast was delicious. My boyfriend even asked if he could have two entrees, and John just laughed and was completely fine with it. Fiona and John were both lovely hosts. We only got one night at Balachladaich during our two weeks in the UK, but it was our favorite place of the whole trip, and we’ve put this picturesque B&B on our list for a much longer stay. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and we loved the different colour themes. Each had a mini fridge with milk for tea, along with a tray, a treat, and an electric kettle. My whole family would highly recommend it.

There isn’t a restaurant within a 20-minute drive, so I ended up taking an Uber into town every day to eat, at 30 pounds each way. The rooms have very poor sound insulation. People in other rooms could clearly hear my music even at half the phone speaker’s maximum volume. The hot water also turns cold if you shower too long. The view is decent, but I wouldn’t rate it very highly.
