Clive and his wife were excellent hosts, full of useful local knowledge. The property is lovely, and well placed for Bath and the beautiful villages nearby. Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and excellent. I’d absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a very comfortable bathroom. Make sure you leave time for breakfast, we enjoyed it so much it took us over an hour. The host made us feel very welcome and seemed to know everything about the area. The hotel is within walking distance of the station, so Bath is easy to reach, and the surrounding area is beautiful for walks. A wonderful stay, thank you. We hope to come back one day.

Clive and Julie go out of their way to make guests’ stays enjoyable, with fresh homemade bread and cakes every day. The B&B is in a quiet, tiny village, a lovely setting for a break in the English countryside. The rooms are a decent size, clean, and modern. Bradford-on-Avon and Bath are easy to get to, and there are several RHS, National Trust, and English Heritage sites to visit nearby.

Lovely place and really nice hosts. I felt at home and would happily visit again.

The peaceful setting in upper Westwood made for a lovely night’s sleep, and the whole B&B was clean and comfortable. This feels like a home away from home, rather than an impersonal, generic business hotel, and we’re already planning to stay again. We had the double room, and I believe the other room is for families. There’s a separate entrance, space for three cars on the drive, and our room had tea, coffee, water and snacks. The bed was comfortable, with bedside lamps, plugs, a USB port and free wi-fi. The bathroom was spotless and modern, with a good shower and fluffy towels. There’s also a TV. I didn’t spot an iron or hair dryer, though I’m sure Julie and Clive would have helped if I’d asked. Clive called on the day to check when we’d arrive. He was warm and bubbly, full of ideas for places to eat and drink, and offered to book a table at his local pub The New Inn. He also gave us a taxi number and was there to welcome us when we arrived. We had drinks before dinner at The Inn in Freshford, a beautiful newly refurbished pub about a five minute drive away. After a great evening eating and drinking, we got a quick taxi back for £5. Bradford taxis arrived very quickly. Bath was a beautiful drive of about 20 minutes, where we spent the day. There are lots of narrow lanes around here, and many have no street lights, so unless it’s midsummer I’d consider taking a taxi in the evening. We weren’t feeling brave enough to drive them ourselves. Breakfast was exceptional, with so much choice. Clive baked fresh bread, and while our full English was being made, we had cereal and fresh fruit. Mine came with veggie sausages, and I loved the full veggie breakfast, local jam on the fresh bread, and orange juice. Julie and Clive were lovely to chat with about the area and the B&B, and Julie sent us off with freshly baked muffins. They couldn’t have been more welcoming.
