The artwork on the walls, featuring her students, is lovely. The host used to teach voluntarily in Ghana, and the place has such a happy feel to it. A fantastic place to stay.

There are several houses to choose from, some in town and others a little farther out, which worked well for sightseeing or work. The places are clean and pleasant, with comfortable beds and practical self-catering facilities. Good value, privacy and cleanliness. Highly recommended.

Irene was such a kind host, and The Digs met all my needs. Thanks again, Irene. I’ll stay here again in the future. Paul G.

Getting around was easy on foot, by bus, train or cab, and Irene’s information pack was really useful. She’s a friendly, helpful host, and the price is right. The back-to-back house was warm, comfortable, clean and well equipped. It has a distinctive look, with lots of African fabric and sculpture and red appliances. The area feels rough around the edges and very Bradford. A great experience.

Irene was amazing and happy to help with anything. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen had everything available to use. The decor was quirky and well done, and it felt like home. I had a perfect two-night stay and would absolutely recommend it. I’ll be back. BRILLIANT!
