Manhattan Luxury Suites

It was easy to get around Bradford from the central location, and the apartment itself felt spacious, modern and spotless. I especially liked the Bluetooth mirror and the Jacuzzi-style bath. I was thoroughly impressed and had a comfortable, enjoyable stay at Manhattan Luxury Suites. I'd happily recommend it.

We couldn't sleep properly because the pub beside our room played loud music until 4am, even though there were quiet hours. Then, once we finally got to sleep, someone came banging and screaming at the apartment doors. That made me feel very unsafe in what was meant to be a secure building. When he left, he set off the fire alarm. It kept sounding until 9am. After ten minutes I called the same unhappy man, who said he'd deal with it, and eventually I had to be sent instructions to turn it off myself. The room itself had marks on the walls, lights that didn't work, a broken wardrobe, cupboards that wouldn't close properly, mould in the bath, loose wiring and damp on the ceiling. There wasn't any coffee, despite it being shown in the images, and the smoke alarm had been removed from the ceiling. There's a £100 damage deposit, which I don't understand when the room already had all these problems. Please see the attached images.

I waited before reviewing because I travel a lot and misrepresented accommodation isn't unusual. But at checkout I was told my £100 security deposit wouldn't be returned because of supposed smoking on the premises. I have never smoked and can't be around smoke for medical reasons. I didn't even cook, so I couldn't have created smoke. It feels quite obviously like a scam, and they will take your money. Be warned. We booked through booking.com and had to send the £100 deposit by bank transfer. The property had no hot water, no advertised jacuzzi tub, and the shared hallway smelled strongly of marijuana. Their reply claiming I left the place in a "horrible state" is an outright lie. Zero morals, it seems. Buyer beware.

I paid £110 and have never been so disappointed. The bedroom TV wouldn't connect to WiFi, and after all the calls back and forth, the man whose number I was given told me to go to a phone shop and buy data so it would work. Seriously? The apartment looked nothing like the pictures. The WiFi box above the entrance door nearly knocked me out as I walked in. There was a strong smell of smoke, plus holes in the floor and wall that looked like something from a hostel.
