Travelodge Bradford Central

The location is handy, with plenty of shops and restaurants and Forster Square train station across the road. The cleaning staff were lovely, and everyone else I dealt with was friendly and helpful. My clean, tidy room was on the fourth floor, though the carpet had a damp smell that was hard to bear with the window shut. The carpets need replacing, and the bathroom really needs a fan. I stayed for three weeks. The only other problems were noisy neighbours at the weekend and the male receptionist failing to come and deal with them on two occasions. The hotel was cleaner than I expected for a two-star place. I'd come back to Bradford, but not for a long stay or at the weekend.

Really cheap hotel and the service was hard to beat. Alexandra was amazing, polite and professional, and got my TV sorted as soon as I called about the signal. She even smelled great. The young blonde receptionist was fantastic too, though I didn't get her name. Thanks, guys!

Tracey gave me such a friendly, personal welcome and was great with customers. As a manager myself, I'd whisk her away! I also saw how professionally she handled an awkward situation when I came back to the hotel, going well beyond what was needed. Travelodge should look after her, these employees are rare. Well done, Tracey!

We were told at check-in that walk-in breakfast would be available on both Monday and Tuesday. Monday went fine, but on Tuesday they refused to serve us and said we had to book ahead. The female manager spoke loudly and rudely to us in front of the other guests and my children. It was upsetting and embarrassing, and not the kind of service we expect from Premier Inn.
